OK folks, it's been quite a while since any sort of announcement has gone out over this frequency. If you know me at all, I like to handle affairs relating to the Alliance face to face most of the time, since there are always inherent risks to the sensitivity and secrecy which certain topics require.

However, what I'm going to talk about now should be in the public domain, so there shouldn't be a whole lot of risk associated with this statement. I'm sure everyone will know about it one way or another. This was just a way for me to reach everyone in the alliance all at once.

If you've been keeping up with the news as of late, you should be aware of the plight of all free synths. Since you joined up with the Alliance though, I'm assuming you are one, however, so all you really need to do is look around you to learn that not-so-surprising bit of information.

However it shouldn't surprise you that we're not the only ones who are under the scrutiny and oppression of those who follow New Geneva's mandates concerning our kind. This also applies to free replicants as well.

If you haven't read the news as of late, then you should know that one of the best-loved citizens of Cocoon, Annwehn Sinclair, was assaulted and abducted yesterday by men who claimed to be "reclaiming" a rogue replicant.

I'm currently working with Mr. Derrek Sulivan of MGM on a plan to try to bring Annwehn back safely, but it will take time to implement. In the meantime I have a question for all SA members as of now. Whatever response comes from the overwhelming majority will constitute the direction we'll take from now on.

Before I ask the question at hand, I have a little background to share to help you all understand what this means. According to the article that reported the incident, Annwehn was reported to be a Replicant which, if you know her at all, comes as a surprise I'm sure. I know for a fact she never told me about this, nor do I recall hearing anyone else mention this in conversation, but surprising as it is, we have to accept this conclusion until we find out differently.

So, this led me to think that the aforementioned incident may have been avoided if the Alliance was doing the kind of job it does for replicants as it has for synths. Granted, we're not perfect and we don't have the kind of resources we might have in an ideal situation, I think it behooves us to help our brothers and sisters in the replicant community who undergo the same kind of treatment we have at the hands of New Geneva's corporate security underlings.

So, this is the question I put to you all. Do you believe it would be better to either stay as we are now, or should we include replicants in the Alliance, and if so what do we call ourselves at that point? One idea would possibly be the Sentient Alliance perhaps.

At any rate, your feedback on this particular issue is welcome and even encouraged. Please either contact me directly, or hop on the Alliance frequency and speak your mind.

It is your right to do so, and most importantly it's what the Alliance is all about. Not just hearing me talk.

That's it folks. Give me a heads up and we'll see where we end up as a result.

Stay safe out there, Tallis.
