Ru Morgot's Gossip Corner
The screen whites out. the black lips appear once more with that familiar kiss sound. Oh yes, its Rumour time.
A woman sits behind a desk, top half of her face cut off of the screen. making only below her nose visible. below the nose, a pair of lips painted a deep black
Ru: "Hello and welcome all my lovely little listening Birdies. Today we bring you once more, your Rumours of Sol~. Today we got some sweet and sour Rumours~"
the lights turn a rust red like the swirling Desert from Mars
Ru: "little birdies. this rumour comes from the sands of Mars. seems like a brave birdie has been going deep into the now infested Tartarus Tunnels. spreading word of a newly discovered Chimera and it sounds terrifying. she describes it as an eight legged creature with rubbery legs that seem to lack bones. suckers on each limb and a giant what looks like gas filled head making it fly about and reach things. seems like the stuff of nightmares, However maybe that is what they are, just nightmares and dreams. but can these dreams spell reality? its all on you to believe that dear birdies~"
the lights turn a soft Grey in the studio with white, star like flecks
Ru: "Luna, the place that seem to think that everything there is all Rich and luxurious~. one little birdie told Momma Ru that things are not as they seem. you see, this Birdie chirped that the Coffee at Gigabites on the colony is actually watered down to save on beans. and no, I don't mean they add water to make the coffee. no they add too much water so they can charge the same price, and sell less product in the process. now I don't know about you birdies but I like my coffee as much as the next person. True or false? who knows~. You decide what you believe after all~."
the lights turn a multitude of colours. making the studio look like a bustling station
Ru: "Now what did momma Ru Tell you all, AT is gone and already other Corporations are salivating at the thought of a contract on Cocoon station. several little birdies come to me with Rumours and chirps of OTB taking another look at the station. saying that they have been seen wandering about on the streets. another says that Arc Systems have increased their numbers on station. and yet another one is screeching about a new and up comer Estrix+ that has been seen sending crates to the station. Momma Ru is honestly unsure whether any of these are true or not, so as always. you decide. "
the lights turn a deep green and blue, swirling around the room
Ru: "Now this one has momma worried. Earth seems to be bustling again once more. however this time not like it was with Gaia, less robots according to this birdie. its not the amount of Robots that worries this birdie, its the rumour that they are collecting scrap and bringing it all to one place. this one seems a little hard to believe, like a Drugged out story of someone who has been hallucinating. However, a rumour is a rumour. and that is what we cover here~ do you believe it? who knows what is happening on Earth as of late."
Ru: "that's all time I have for today, However Momma Ru invites any birdie that has something they think might be a worthy Rumour to send it in~ till next time~ stay Chirping my little birdies~"
the screen fades once more to white and the iconic black lips kiss the screen farewell as the scheduled program continues only to be interrupted again during a commercial break
Male voice: "we interrupt this scheduled commercial break for an extra episode of R.M.G.C. we apologize to our faithful consumers."
the normal into starts, the white, the kiss and the black lips logo, then fading to the studio with Ru in her usual fashion. the lights starting off in a deep blue with Cyan swirls flowing trough the room
Ru: "welcome to a quick extras, just in fresh Rumours about your own Free Company. talks about Ghosts, Giant Gators and Dragons? these also come from Earth. A little birdie Chirped about a Chimera that they say they have seen with their own eyes, and claims that Free Company Fought a 30 Feet long Gator. Now I don't know what a Gator is but it feels like this birdie compares it to the Alligator animal from before the war~ things I have only seen in images."
"Another birdie says there was something akin to a dragon involved. a massive creature that left footprints in the mud and Dirt that has been scorched black by flame. a lot of the inhabitants of Earth that are surviving there despite the dangers are said to been spreading Folktales. each one more strange than the other. some claim that they saw FC fight them."
"Lastly, they claimed to have seen a woman traveling with the group that hardly seems real. Vanishing in and out of sight, she sniffed out a man the locals are calling Butcher Pete. Uncovered a shed full of awful things, and appeared long enough to put a round between his eyes. Then, she vanished. Perhaps their ranks are haunted?"
Ru: "Now this is a first. Triple rumours in a row about the same group of Mercs. As always, it is up to you if you believe it or not~. Remember, even in some rumours that are hard to believe, there is truth hidden within. How much? That is up to you to decide~."

the lights fade, the screen whitens and the farewell kiss appears. the commercial break continues once more
Male voice: "thank you for remaining on this channel. we will now continue with the adds and Commercials~"
