[The sound of explosions and missile launches in burst salvos can be heard in the background]

Cairo: "YEAH...THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS, LUCRETIA, WHEN YOU DRIVE TOWARDS AN ONGOING FULLSCALE MILITARY CONFLICT.... I CAN TELL YOU I CAN SEE BURSTS OF ROCKETS AND MISSILES FLYING TOWARDS THE GAIA MECH... THERE ARE EXPLOSIONS, ARTILLERY FIRE, TRACERS FROM FULL BURST WEAPONRY, FIGURES ARE RUNNING AROUND X-17 FIRING WHILE SUPPORT BARRAGES ARE BEING LAUNCHED, STREAKING ACROSS THE SKYLINE AN-"
[A loud explosion follows a painfully loud static squawk]
Cairo: "-UCKINGDAMMIT.... SORRY, LUCRETIA....MY PROTECTORS ARE DOING SOME AMAZING DRIVING BUT THAT WAS VERY CLOSE....THE SHEER VOLUME OF ORDINANCE BEING FIRED AT THE GAIA MECH IS STAGGERING THOUGH ITS HARD TO TELL AT THIS DISTANCE THE EFFECT...."
Thompson: "Huntsman, can you tell us if its Armitech or ARES currently engaging the warmechs? We'd heard reports ARES was backing up Armitech in reserve, can you confirm this is true?"
[Several more explosions overload the comm line, followed with close barks of burst fire weaponry]
Cairo: "-UCK!!! SAY AGAIN, LUCRETIA?"
Thompson: "Huntsman, I said... our viewers would like to know if you can confirm if ARES is backing up Armitech in this push back against the warmechs? Can you move closer to confirm?"
Cairo: "I CAN'T CONFIRM AT THIS DISTANCE WHO IS FIGHTING THE WARMECHS, LUCRETIA... WE'RE TRYING TO NOT GET KILLED GETTING TO THE EXTRACTION AREA AT THE BACK OF X-SEVENTEFUCKLOOKOUTFORTHATPETRA....."
Thompson: "Yes, Huntsman, but can you move CLOSER to CONFIRM? Our viewers want to know if its both ARES and Armitech working together..."
Cairo: "-UCK YOUR CONFIRMATION, BITCH... YOU COME DOWN HERE AND CONFIR-"
[The audio feed pushes into harsh distortion as an explosion is heard along with screams for a brief nanosecond before the feed cuts out]
Thompson: "It seems we've lost the feed again, or possibly our correspondent Huntsman Cairo.....we'll try to re-establish if we are able to... for those just joining us.... It is believed that Armitech and possibly ARES are currently engaged with the Gaia mech at X-17, though ARES involvement is currently not confirmed... we will bring you more details as they become available though we wish all those fighting for Armitech good fortune and hope they make it back home safely...."
