Three hours ago, a DS-011 Passenger Shuttle heading for Luna collided with what at first was thought the remains of a small asteroid, however, things got suspicious when the shuttle's instruments picked up radiation from the impact. Due to its proximity to Luna, the Lunite authorities put the shuttle and its 36 passengers and 4 crew members under quarantine while the decontamination process takes place.

While there aren't any radiation spikes around the proximity to Luna, this incident may very well be connected to a previous incident registered by Advanced Research and Experimental Systems.

Earlier this week, an ARES patrol picked up the remains of the Eos IV space station near The Belt. Eos IV was a mining station that housed nearly 9,000 refugees and offered them jobs, housing, and assistance. The story around Eos IV is nebulous, at one time being linked to a corporation known as AraXTech, although nothing could be officially proven. Early reports from ARES suggest that the failure of the station's reaction was the cause for its destruction, and that its detonation was triggered from within the station.

The Matsumoto Zaibatsu has confirmed that the debris that collided against the DS-011 Shuttle matches the Eos IV space station, to prevent further incidents, ARES has deployed squadrons to find and destroy the rest of the debris and minimize risk.

This story is ongoing and we will update it as more information becomes available.
