Going back to our current X-17 story, there have only been escalations. More and more Legacy AI War Mechs have been streaming in and now a large scale Legacy AI War Mech has taken over the Area. Scavengers and hunters have been attacked with more casualties than predicted.
There is some good news. Thanks to the valiant efforts of both rescue operations by solo runners and smaller organizations like Free Company leaded by commander Al-Dhahabi. There have been a great number of people evacuated to either Cocoon, or refugee camps on different colonies such as Luna.
Sara Dullingham had this to say after Free Company was able to evacuate her and her family:
"Thankfully Free Company was there to get us out quickly. If not for their brave efforts and transportation we might not have made it"
Furthermore it seems the large scaled Legacy AI brought Anomalous weather with it. Strong radioactive downpours and strange red lightning making the surface of X-17 more hostile than ever.
As a result Armitech is issuing an official statement for restrictions on travel to X-17 via Cocoon within the next 24 hours. This is sad news for people counting on scrapping for salvage on Earth. People will need to go the Martian surface soon enough for their daily salvage
