ONN: Sector Three Rocked by Full-Scale Assault on AICHI Intersolar

Violence engulfed Cocoon's Main Concourse this past Saturday night as a group of heavily armed combatants penetrated the city's forcefield dome in an unmarked dropship, launching what has been described as a "full-scale assault" against the AICHI Intersolar facility that left 8 dead and at least 20 injured, and cost the megacorp an estimated 2 million credits in property damage.

The attacking force, which included powered infantry and two spider-tank mobile artillery units, engaged AICHI Security forces in a heated battle, temporarily gaining access to the AICHI Building before finally being repelled.

It is currently unknown whether these attackers were mercenaries hired by a rival corporation, terrorists, or members of one of the pirate bands that have been preying on orbital shipping with increasing frequency over the past several months.
