Genetectic, when you think of this megacorporation, a lot of things come to mind: Cloning, Biotech, Genetic Engineering, Hospital, Therapy. But to some others, it also has negative and dark connotations: Eugenics, Controlled Obsolescence, Genetic Black Market. Regardless of your position, one thing is for certain about Genetectic: Far more people have benefited from their assistance than actually taken harm from it. Everyone remembers the tragedy a few months back when a maintenance crew plus a security agent were lost in the Sewer Sector of the Station, and the accusations that started to rain down on Genetectic because of it, but everyone else also remembers that Genetectic is a regular and original sponsor to Dragons Rising: Fight Night, and they have an open door policy, tending the wounds of every person, regardless of corporate affiliation, or even social standing. Genetectic is probably the corporation closest to breaking the mold to a stereotypical corporation.

It also suffices to say that Genetectic hires some of the most talented and brilliant individuals on this side of the Sol System. With a Corporation that offers steady pay, good working conditions, and stay relatively away from the limelight, it's hard to imagine what could they have possibly done to warrant criminal action against them, for the most part, even Twin Dragons, in spite of their heavy anti Corporation stance, has left them alone. that was, of course, until last night.

At around 21:15, local time, ATS Agent Hyde moved towards the Genetectic facility and demanded the individuals inside to surrender their weapons. For the most part, it looked like it would be a one man crusade against whoever was inside. Let us remember that ATS Agent Hyde, or rather, the Hyde Series Synths from Arboria Corporation, were part of an incident involving Akio Saito recently. But it all changed when two other ATS Agents arrived at the scene, and that's when ATS's teamwork got on display. A hostage situation is underway, and ONN has learned that the main suspect is Lexxus, a notorious figure of late sporting mostly white outfits with white hair. She is also known for having participated in one Dragons Rising: Fight Night instance, and for being linked to the Pulse Incident some time ago.

ATS's actions were rough, but precise, with their priorities in mind, the three ATS Agents coordinated their efforts flawlessly and managed to allow the retrieval and rescue of the individuals being kept in the facility, including Genetectic personnel. ONN, however, also got early reports of two injured, and one permanently incapacitated ATS Agent at the end of the fray.

After approximately two hours of tense exchanges, the first hostages were seen making their way out of Genetectic and into the protective deployment of ATS synths on the perimeter. The reports suggest that, despite their best efforts, their main suspect, Lexxus, managed to escape. However, their actions are not going without reactions from the population. "Of course ATS had to look good, look at it, they are rescuing people in a Corporation, what did you expect?" said an anonymous passerby "This is what we're talking about, big guys, with big guns, knowing what they are doing, kicking down doors, kicking ass, taking names, and looking good while doing it, the guy who went in first had zero fear, and just went in to do what he was trained to do: The deliver Corporate Law against whoever emerges responsible, ATS?

“You're A-OK!" words from Jeff Johnson, Genetectic Janitor who was present at the incident, and was one of the first people to flee to safety.

"I was just telling my friend Tiff here, 'Oh my gosh! Those cute guys with the cute ATS and stuff? When are they going to like, come out and do cool stuff with their spinners?' and, like, oh my gosh, we see these guys rush in after the first cute guy, and we were like 'Oh my gosh! Those guys are going into danger like that! Why isn't it like, more cute guys like that?’ And yes, I like, know, there's this girl too with them, who looked totally fab by the way, but neither my friend Tiff nor I are, like, into girls? But, oh my gosh! That was so cool! I, like, wonder if they have new people joining? And like, if they give cool uniforms? Because we would like, totally help out those cute guys we just say, right, Tff?" words from Stephania Lubensky-Warren, heiress to the Lubensky-Warren Sex Emporium, while admiring the ATS work at handling the situation.

ONN advises our viewers and readers to take extreme precautions, as the Replicant known as Lexxus is still on the loose, and whether ATS will pursue to destroy the Replicant or not, remains to be seen. Lexxus should be considered heavily armed and extremely dangerous.

UPDATE: ONN has just learned the names of the two Agents who, with Agent Hyde, valiantly put an end to the Hostage Crisis at Genetectic. Agents Yuni Yukitatsu and Crow, on behalf of the population of Cocoon, ONN thanks you for your service, and bravery, and can only hope we get to see more of you and Agents like you.
