With the station still reeling from the attack on ATS's headquarters last weekend, the shockwaves are still being felt in our station. From a divide that has always existed growing ever larger with every passing hour, more and more changes are coming to our society. The latest to get involved is a well known entertainment network, the Xtreme Sports Network.

As you may remember, The Xtreme Sports Network regularly broadcasts ultra famous NET show: Dragons Rising: Fight Night, as a bit of backstory, Fight Night originally started as means to test strength, speed, ability, and power among a selected number of Fighters, showing off was never the intent, and it was an event organized by Twin Dragons. Fast forward a few months later, and Xtreme Sports Network is awarded the broadcasting rights of the event while the original creators retain creative control over the show. In a matter of weeks, Dragons Rising: Fight Night became a phenomenal show, rising above well established Net Shows and setting the tone for what the new generation of both Sports Entertainment and Full Contact Combat should be.

The show is not without its detractors, being criticized more than once for the wanton amounts of violence, as well as its origin, what is true, however, is that with every edition, as much as 40% of their profits are destined for the Underground, that's according to the books released by the Xtreme Sports Network. An hour ago, Kenzo Kagami, spokesman for the Xtreme Sports Network, released a statement on behalf of the network.

The Xtreme Sports Network has always done their best to bring forth quality Sports Entertainment that isn't scripted for a determined result, we leave that to the competition.

What we do is bring you shows such as Dragons Rising: Fight Night, which has effortlessly become our flagship show, and others such as Ultimate Hoverbike X Races, Urban Parkour: Survival, and Man Vs. Machine: Running With The Devil. When we approached the Twin Dragons representatives for a chance to broadcast their creation, they presented their requests, we presented ours, we reached common grounds and we created a whole new cultural phenomenon that has changed the way people perceive Full Contact and Sports Entertainment forever. At no time is any participant in danger of losing their lives, as we have secured contracts with Genetectic to ensure the physical integrity of both Organic and Synthetic participants to be kept, at no edition was there a fatality. We have also secured contracts with different food emporiums to ensure everyone in the audience and our own participants as well are well tended, to us, our audience matters the most.

Recently, an ATS Agent, in a statement, decided to attack this enterprise, while we understand the duress this Agent must have been, this represents an attack on said enterprise that has done nothing but to give back to the people, in the form of entertainment, and in the form of credits for the Underground. Again, while we understand what they are going through, we're analyzing our legal options, and until we come to a formal decision, we're canceling the broadcast and realization of Dragons Rising: Fight Night until further notice. Thank you."

It should be noted that this revelation is adding more to the ongoing divide in opinion in our Station. Fight Night was one of the few elements that had something many didn't: Inclusion. People from all strata of society could enjoy it equally, from the high class executives in Sector Three, to humble families in Sector One, and everything in between. Fight Night would be the talk of the weekend and for many people, it was an additional way to make money.

It is unknown the full scope of the economic impact the Underground, especially Chinatown, will suffer after the cancellation of the show, it's also unknown if this cancellation is permanent or temporary, but one thing is for sure: Tensions will continue to rise for the next few weeks.

At the time of this edition, ATS Command was not available for a statement or comment.

What are your opinions on this development? Do you think the cancellation of Fight Night will affect people beyond the entertainment factor? Is it affecting you in any way? Keep tuned to find out more on this situation, as we will be reporting more on this story as it develops.
