About two weeks ago, ONN reported about a massive surge in activity on Earth Site 0041Z, an activity that culminated in a series of powerful explosions that decimated the entire Site and caused New Geneva to proceed with contracted megacorporations ARES and Armitech to declare it off limits and out of bounds to non authorized personnel. Such actions have brought several questions over the last few days as New Geneva remains silent about it. All available information simply points out that the Site has become too unstable for non essential personnel to visit. With thousands of dead and missing from the last series of explosions, it seems Earth Site 0041Z will remain permanently off limits for the next few decades.

Enter the Vulca Group, a medium-sized corporation that has had interest in pursuing archeological and R&D operations for several decades, and the newest New Geneva Council member. During the past two decades, Vulca Group has been hard at work to secure a patch of land on Earth and attempt to bring back some of the life it once had. Earth Site X-17 is located on the ruins of one of the many coastal cities somewhere in the southern hemisphere, and has had very discrete migration over the past few years. However, Vulca Group's incursion on Earth hasn't been a clean one, surrounded by controversy and rumors, many claim that Vulca Group was after strange research that made it sound supernatural, claims and rumors of retired operatives that claim to have seen psychic chimeras, and supernatural phenomena that have been all unproven surround this corporation. For the most part, Vulca Group has always stated that their operations on Earth have been legitimate and properly supervised. A representative to Vulca Group had this to say:

"We understand that many inhabitants of both Mars, Luna, and several of the Space Stations and Floating Cities had interest on Earth, be it for a sense of adventure, or an attempt to connect with our old roots, after the disaster on Earth site 0041Z, the board of directors of Vulca Group has agreed to open the doors of Earth Site X-17 for newcomers, adventurers, researchers, and even individuals who wish to start a new life. Our highly trained military personnel are on duty 24/7 to watch over you and Vulca Group's interest within the compound."

Earth Site X-17 was one of the most irradiated zones on the planet, however, Vulca Group's constant efforts and costly operations on both decontamination, water purification, and terraforming of the Site had seemingly paid off, as even some plant life can be seen on the compound.

"We simply ask visitors and newcomers in general to follow Vulca Group's indications at all times, as we all know, there are all sorts of still unknown dangers on Earth beyond safe zones, we wouldn't want any unfortunate accidents to happen and ruin your new life".

As we all know, one of the most thriving activities on our station for the past several months, has been Salvaging Operations, and even Chimera Hunting, when asked about the possibility of resuming these operations, Vulca Group's representative had this to say:

"As far as we know, the incident on Earth Site 0041Z took out most of the pre-Transcendence War mechs, but that's not to say that you may find a few of those wandering around, same goes for Chimeras, while you may not find them in the same numbers as before, this is still a very large world with equally large possibilities for adventure."

As of this Editorial, we were informed by Cocoon Corp that Dock 2B on the Starport has shuttles with dedicated transport operations to Earth Site X-17 and they are in operation as of this moment.
