Controversial Corporate Law analyst and political commentator was attacked yesterday at the exclusive Mariner Valley Resort Colony on Mars, security surveillance shows two mutants breaking into Storm's penthouse and engaging the controversial figure. After fighting off and killing one of the assailants, Storm was shot ten times. The assailant rushed through the balcony and attempted to escape, however, Advanced Research and Experimental Systems's Security Detachment managed to capture the assailant, and detain another mutant with a getaway vehicle at the ready. Storm was rushed to a classified location to be treated, at the time of this report, Storm's condition was reported as critical, and he was unresponsive to initial emergency procedures.

New Geneva, after being made aware of open criticism against a Corporate figure coming from Corporate usage of the NET, had an extraordinary session with members of its Council and they are now announcing NET regulations to enter in effect immediately. The official motion has now been published all over in the System and reads as follows:

The Council of New Geneva, the legislative, executive, and corporate body ruling all of the civilized worlds, space stations, and colonies in the Sol System, is now enforcing the Stop the Unidentified Corporate Killers Act (S.U.C.K.A).

Due the incident that has put Blade Storm's life in danger, as well as evidence that the NET (Be it public or corporate accessed) has been used to conspire and otherwise engage in anti corporation behavior, all access to any and all kinds of services offered through the NET are now going to be regulated and observed by New Geneva through all of its corporate affiliates, effective immediately.

All Corporations in the Sol System are now required to report any and all anti corporate behavior (Be it in speech, written medium, or via questionable actions that may or may not result in further corporate asset damages,) to their local Corporate Law Enforcement Agency, which will take the appropriate action to punish the perpetrators of such actions. For every successful report that a Corporation issues, the Corporation will be granted 100,000 (One hundred thousand) credits for their efforts.

In the case that a Corporation fails to report malicious activity and anti corporation behavior, the Corporation may be fined up to 1'000,000 (One million) credits, and they may be liable for Corporate Legal Action that may or may not end in a Tribunal of Corporate Law in New Geneva, and may face the risk of asset seizure as well as the shutdown of all their operations, in case of open rebellion, New Geneva may issue orders and instructions to the most prominent military corporations (Armitech Corporation, Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, or Matsumoto-Zaibatsu) to lend help and assistance to the local Corporate Law Enforcement Agencies and enforce Corporate Law and mandates.

The NET is a corporate asset owned and operated by New Geneva through many of their corporate affiliates, not a tool to be used to conspire against corporate entities, as such, recent actions are now resulting on the Stop the Unidentified Corporate Killers Act (S.U.C.K.A) to come in effect immediately.

What this essentially means is that the Corporations now have an obligation to keep an eye on the usage of their portion of the NET, and may or may not allow for New Geneva specialized Software to keep an eye on communications that comment specifically on actions, attitudes, and comments against New Geneva, Corporations, and Corporate Public Figures. This Act is now in effect, and all Corporations of all kinds that have access to both public and corporate NET to keep an eye on their own people, risking heavy fines and punishment if they don't. At the same time, the attempt on Blade Storm's life by Mutants, as well as the increase Mutant violence on Cocoon Station, was the second point on the Council of New Geneva's Agenda, issuing a second Act:

The Council of New Geneva, the legislative, executive, and corporate body ruling all of the civilized worlds, space stations, and colonies in the Sol System, is now enforcing the Extremely Violent Instinct Lost (E.V.I.L) Act.

Due to the repeated incidents and escalated violence that involves mutants, all mutants found on colonies, space stations, worlds, regardless of corporate affiliation, are required to be registered and monitored. Through these Acts, mutants can now be classified as Rogue if they engage in acts against corporate figures, corporate assets, or corporate interests as a whole. Mutants (Both by mutation at the time of their birth, be it by genetic conditions, or environment conditions, as well as Designer Mutants) will be placed in a Mutant Registration Database, and they will be subjected to the same rules and regulations Synths and Replicants are subjected to. While ownership won't be forced on Mutants, a Sponsorship for Mutants will be required. Much like a Replicant or Synth Owner, a Mutant Sponsor is responsible for the Mutant, and may call on Corporate Law Authorities at any time in case the Mutant is going Rogue or requires Re-Education for better adaptation and interaction in Corporate Society.

Any and all individuals found harboring fugitive and/or Rogue Mutants will be subjected to the same punishment as any and all individuals found harboring fugitive and/or Rogue Synths and/or Replicants, the full extent of Corporate Law is hereby summoned through this act to ensure that the violence on which mutants are engaging diminishes and the corporate population is safe. In case of violence scaling up, or many individuals are shown guilty of trying to assist fugitive and/or Rogue Mutants, New Geneva may issue orders and instructions to the most prominent military corporations (Armitech Corporation, Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, or Matsumoto-Zaibatsu) to lend help and assistance to the local Corporate Law Enforcement Agencies and enforce Corporate Law and mandates.

Up until now, mutants of all kinds, all denominations, and all affiliations have enjoyed freedom and have gone unchecked without the need of any sort of registration or special regulation, but the escalating violence and delicate matters in which mutants are involved suggest that New Geneva is needed to intervene and dictate action. The Extremely Violent Instinct Lost (E.V.I.L) Act is coming into effect immediately.

What this controversial Act suggests is a bit more strict, any and all individuals categorized as mutants in the Sol System, are to be regulated and watched as much as Synths of all kinds, and Replicants of all kinds are, with rights and privileges being reduced to comply with Corporate Law. While they don't require and Owner, they require a Sponsor, who will basically have the same rights and privileges over the Mutant as an Owner would have over Synths and Replicants, this Sponsor may call on Corporate Law whenever the Mutant is acting out of line, which renders a Sponsor the same as an Owner in practicality.

As mentioned before, both acts have already gone into effect, and Regulations of both the NEW (Through S.U.C.K.A) and Mutants (Through the E.V.I.L Act) are expected to be enforced from here on out.

With this said, it appears that much has happened due the attempt on Blade Storm's life, what do you think of these incidents? Was the attack on Blade Storm justified? Will you be more careful with how you use the NET this time around? How do you think the Mutant population will react to the E.V.I.L Act? Please comment below with your opinions.
