As the Jericho V Crisis continues to put countless locations in danger, and after a catastrophic death toll of more than 10 million, it appears that for the first time, we're getting positive news.
Network Systems Incorporated, the megacorporation assigned to communications and NET operations, has announced this evening that long range communications have been re-established.
Here at Orbital News Network have assisted in the early stress test for long range communications and we're pleased to announce to the public that thanks to NSI's efforts and work, and a few new protocols implemented as well, full range communications are indeed back at 100% efficiency. NSI apologizes for the delay in attention, but with the amount of work they have been doing as of late, as well as keeping things for the most part controlled in the ShadowNET, ONN believes that NSI should be commended for the results they are delivering as we speak.
As more locations continue to report impacts from Jericho V Fragments, Genetectic strongly recommends anyone and everyone to keep their distance from impact zones. Highly trained Corporate Security personnel as well as Medical Professionals will be looking into cleaning, decontamination, and removal of debris. For the handling of medical emergencies, Genetectic has prepared their Trauma Team division to be on standby at all times.

While Governor Bancroft couldn't be reached for commentary, rest assured, both he and his staff are safe in the capable hands of corporate professionals like Matsumoto-Zaibatsu.
Speaking of corporate professionals, Free Company has been hard at work on Earth, setting hospitals and attention modules on Earth Site X-17, Commander Nadir Al-Dhahabi has issued the following statement:

It should be noted that, next to Mars, Earth has received the most confirmed impacts from Jericho V Fragments, with many more unconfirmed due the non existence of Earth Sites on most of the planet, coordinating with Vulca Group has allowed Free Company to prepare for the worst, if the worst was to happen.
And finally, in a historic milestone, Advanced Research and Experimental Systems (ARES) has named a new CEO.
It's been almost two years since the end of the Mars Wars that gave Mars its questionable independence from corporate protection, and autonomy. During that event, it was reported that the CEO of ARES had been killed as he had tried to rally the ARES forces to heroically defend Olympus Mons from the rebelling Natives and hired mercenaries not yet identified. After the negotiations with the Council of the Five Clans went through and Advanced Research and Experimental Systems withdrew to Megas Areios (The megacorporation's main base of operations, stationed near the Belt), the Board of Directors took control of the corporation until such time came to name a new CEO, and that time has certainly come.
Introducing Radu Basarab, a young CEO who has made his career in the field of battlefield applications for cybernetics, as well as weapon design. Mr. Basarab holds five degrees in Macrocybernetics, Nanocybernetics, Energy Perpetuation Systems, Applied Cybernetics, and Advanced Artificial Intelligence Design. He hails from Carpathia IV, and as soon as he was able, he started his advanced and specialized education in corporate institutions linked to Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, for the four years, he has been working on a confidential project on Neptune, and now, has decided to answer the call.

Accompanied only by an Areia-900 Synth, Mr. Basarab shows promise, and already enjoys the full support of the Board of Directors, as a result, A.R.E.S's stock surged and has gotten the attention of several new parties interested in conducting business with them.
