A man stands in front of a bakery, the neon lights of Neo London making the rainy streets glow in sheets of green, red, blue and purple. You see Corporate Security behind him, drones projecting a holo barrier between the camera and the body they were moving away on a hover gurney.
"This is Alexander McSnoob with Grid Network Portal, what you're seeing behind me here is the aftermath of a terrible attack that people on the street are calling a "Terrorist attack" and an ‘assassination.’ What we've learned here, is that quiet CEO and family man Nole K'Sum was leaving Big Ben Bakery behind me, and was violently attacked by masked individuals. Eyewitnesses tell us some grim tales of what happened this afternoon."
The man fiddles with his earpiece, smiling at the camera before pre recorded footage of a sidewalk interview of a young teenager. Her face looks excited, and her pupils are heavily dilated.
"It was crazy man, all of a sudden these three ...people, got out of one of those tiny green cars, yanno the ones that you plug in to charge? Like, they just got out and started shooting and hacking at this guy with machetes and then they jumped back in their tiny little dumb car and sped away!"
The camera shoots to another pre-recorded footage, of an older man wearing glasses.
"Yes, I mean. It was just senseless, senseless violence and here of all places. This is usually a nice neighborhood, the children play just across the street here at the hover park." he points off in another direction, and then sighs. "I mean what's next? How are the corporations going to keep the good people of New London safe?"
The camera goes dark and then comes back in on Alexander, who is still smiling.
"Are-are we back on?" He pauses, and then nods. "Once again, a terrible tragedy is occurring here behind me folks, and no one is taking any responsibility. We here at GNP wonder, Is this connected with the recent attacks on terraforming gas manufacturers solar system wi-HEY! HEY We're the news here! Get off of me!"
Corporate security begins to push Alexander out of the view of the camera, the camera man turning towards an office who walks right up to the camera and places his hand over the lens.
"HEY YOU CAN'T DO TH-"
The signal goes silent and the screen goes black. A technicolor screen with a loud piercing beep plays on screen, with a scrolling marquee reading: "Oops! Something's gone wrong!"
