CPN NEWS: Aegis Macrogenetics Try To Silence Chimera Escape

Altech, or AT, have seemed to have lost many of their employees and slowed down business. Why? No one is completely sure. Either from the PR disasters, including Mega Byte hacking their robots to attack civilians, or something else entirely. There is evidence that many of AT's employees have run a well known corporation, Aegis Macrogenetics, or AM. This includes Cascade, who is now a Director within AM. When you think of Aegis Macrogenetics, you think of the atmospheres on many stations and sky cities that help us breathe. Aegis Macrogenetics was started in 2459, with several projects to terraform and create artificial atmospheres on other worlds and provide humanity with more than one new home. After winning a bid to create several atmospheres on Mars, and a massive terraforming contract on Europa and Io, Aegis Macrogenetics jumped to fame and fortune, becoming a sensation overnight. Aegis Macrogenetics has been rumored to also dwell in Eugenics and many other unethical experiments, although the rumors were never proven.

AM has already been rumored to have run into trouble with Vulca Group on Earth after building on their property without the probably permissions. Now, they have ran into a serious issue on Luna with a well known Lunite entertainer. Aegis Macrogenetics has gained license to create a Zoo on Luna for chimeras. Something that could allow study and observation of the creatures with safety precautions. Or so we thought. During a show in Eden Pool Club, one of their chimeras escaped into the pool, and as a Lunite recorded the incident, they were intimidated in an attempt to get them to stop recording. We have received the video, so let's take a look, shall we?

A video shows up on the screen, showing a large turtle like chimera being ushered out of sight as a young voice chimed in from behind the video. "And here folks we have a bunch of crazy people bringing chimeras to Eden on Luna. Like seriously." Cascade Prime turned towards the woman recording. She watched as 7UK-3 ushered the big turtle out of sight. "Madam, these chimeras are those belonging to AM. We have a fully licensed zoo here on Luna. And we did not bring her here. She escaped from his enclosure." 7UK-3 sets down Biscuit. A beeping is heard from the side of his head. "Suck my noncorporeal dick, William! I do use my head for more than a stupid hat rack." Karina Atzi's voice behind the camera chirped up, "Fully licensed, uhm you do know that means all of Luna isn't your zoo, right? How exactly are people supposed to feel safe when you can't keep them in their cages?" Cascade Prime twitched one antenna in annoyance. "We just had building renovations so the enclosure was compromised long enough for her to escape. The situation is taken care of now, so kindly put that camera down." Karina pursed her lips and asked, "Why would I put the camera away? This is digigram gold." "I apologize for my outburst, Director. Madam. I do not have much experience with emotions. If necessary, I will deactivate them-" 7UK-3 looks at the camera then to Cassy, "Should I intercede, Director?" Cascade Prime raised one antenna. "MGM is here. I need to go speak with them,” said Karina. "7UK-3, would you please use your best talents to deal with this?" She gave the staff member a nod. 7UK-3 nods with, "I understand, Director." The camera moved between the big guy and the director. "Try me, asshole. This shit is live." "An asshole," 7UK-3 scoffs and smirks, "Cute. coming from a self righteous, pompous nitwit, your insult does not hold much bearing. Do you know what the best thing about being me is?" Karina backed up a little more before speaking, "Right. Held no bearing, that's why you gotta say something back right? You're the ones letting monsters loose on Luna!" Karina zooms her video in on the big guy's face. The large man in front of her continued to speak, "Well we would hire them and give them pay, but MGM has beaten us to the punch," he gestures toward her. "You forgot my question." he says as he takes a step forward, "The best thing about being me is I do not require a toy to wirelessly connect to the net. Say hello. But you may want to wait and get the blackheads off of your nose first." his irises start blinking 'Broadcasting' ,"Put up the camera and I will no longer show everyone with computer access every single flaw you possess." One of the dancers slips down off her little podium, almost falling on her ass. She stumbles as she rights herself and strolls over. Her head tilts slightly as she listens to the big guy say mean things to Karina. She tucks her hands behind her back and just listens. Karina’s voice grew a little shaky behind the camera, "First off, you don't fucking know me. Second off, if I was to go to your little zoo and release a bunch of shit that ruins your business, I'm sure you'd be pissed too. YOU'RE the ones that can't handle your zoo. Maybe you shouldn't have a license if you put chimera in a zoo that wasn't finished being built yet. Did you think of that? I don't care for your question. Now get the HELL OUT OF THIS PARTY!" She canted her head before bursting out laughing, wiggling the fingers of her free hand at him, "Record all you want sweety, you're the one breaking the law and intimidating an entertainer." Gia Allegre walked out of the elevator with her hand cupped over her comms unit as she spoke into it. Heels clicked against concrete as she made her way toward the pool and the DJ apparently was prevented from working there. "Good afternoon," Gia addressed the big guy speaking there. "What seems to be the trouble here? Is someone disrupting corporate business? I would hate to-" 7UK-3 looks at the woman speaking to him now. He opens his mouth then looks slightly off to the side, "I understand, DIrector." He looks at the woman again, "It is no longer relevant." Karina Atzi looked over to the crew rolling in, "Dayuuuuummmm MGM security don't play." She looked over at the man, "Mhm, you're a whole lot nicer with security around now?" She glared at him as he left. 7UK-3 he looks at the woman glaring at him with an emotionless disinterest, as he presses the button.

Now this video is rather alarming as it shows a few things:

The AM Director admitted that the chimera escaped during renovations. But if there were renovations and the enclosure was compromised, why did they not move this chimera to a different location?
The AM Director is seen asking one of her men to "deal with this" in which he is seen as a large buff man approaching the Lunite holding the camera in an attempt to intimidate her. The director previously is heard telling the woman to stop recording.
MGM Security is seen arriving on scene, in which the man leaves quickly without any issues.

The AM Director is a familiar face from AT. He seems to have no shame in the fact she is trying to cover this PR disaster. Though he is not threatening Lunites into silence, is it not more of a PR disaster? How can we trust a corporation that is supposed to be building a Chimera Zoo if they are hiding that they cannot even keep them obtained in their cages? What will happen when the zoo opens? This is a serious safety issue that needs to be addressed by Luna Security immediately. Luna is a place Lunites take pride in as a safe and luxurious home, and a corporation seems to be scooting something that could compromise that right under the rug. Many people have already seen the video, which has been uploaded onto the Public.Net and shared over 200,000 times in the last two days since its upload. Comments vary from "It actually looks kinda cute.", "Corporations seriously get away with anything.", and "Where is OSHA when you need them?" Please let us know your thoughts below.
