A Free Media Production

Your comms beep with an alert. When accessed hard-core, raw, street edge music plays while a series of color-hued video imagery flash rapidly across your viewer. Each scene depicts some action or the aftermath of action in various locales throughout the system: Earth, the floating cities, orbital colonies, Luna, Mars, the Belt; they are all presented within a short thirty-second block. Each hue adds to the feeling of the imagery, blues, yellows, reds; combined with the music it is quite stimulating. The final scene of the video fades away at the end of the thirty-seconds revealing a single still portrait with the animated title superimposed over the top. A mechanized voice, highly augmented through editing software, urgently whispers, Keeping It Real with Sable Gentry.

Sable's soft, dulcet contralto purrs through your audio splice.

"I've broken through. Free Media, choombas. That's what this is. We aren't owned by any corporation or controlled by big media. We are as we are, from the Street, reporting on the real side of things. Untainted, unhindered, unfettered. I'm not alone, and yet I drift so the signal remains strong. This is done with love, gato. Love for the Truth. Eat it up. Live it. Know it. I'm here to set you free."

This is what you won't get on the Networks.

You've heard of Prometheus Corporation, no doubt. They deliver the power that energizes almost half the system. You've got augs? It's likely you've got a Prometheus Corporation battery charging them. Of course, you could always have a Sol Energies battery or be driving a car that runs off a Sol Energies unit. These two megacorps control the energy market, savvy? Well, you need to know because there could be trouble on the horizon. Get your energy stores settled, choombattas. Just in case.

I've got it on good authority that Rajanjeet Lidder, Prometheus' head scientist is dead and despite any public claims being made, Prometheus Corporation is pointing fingers at Sol Energy.

That's right, Prometheus Corporation is accusing Sol Energy of assassinating their top scientist. Mr. Lidder's body was discovered by his household's MGM cleaning synth still at his desk as of this morning and my sources say that this death is the real deal. That boy's been flatlined and all that he contained in his wet drive has been destroyed. Why should you care? Because word on the Street is that Mr. Lidder was almost through developing a next gen battery that could triple the day-span of a Class A synth. My sources also confirm that Sol Energy wasn't even close to such an achievement. Furthermore, according to my sources, the deceased scientist's cloud storage was hacked just last night and all of the data erased. If New Geneva doesn't step in, could we see a new conflict bleeding out on our streets? Without a doubt."

A small chime sounds.

"I've got to keep these short, gatos. If I stay on too long I run a high fever risk of being silenced. Rest assured that I'll be back soon with more Truth. In the meantime, keep it real."
