The extinction level sized asteroid, once headed for Luna, has been broken up into smaller pieces by the orbital defense platforms. However, ONN reports that debris has indeed impacted into Luna Colony, causing extensive damage.

While the damage was mitigated by reducing the size of the asteroid, several pieces have pierced the biodome sheltering Luna colony.

Rapid response teams have sealed the breaches and the environmental systems have been set to full to help compensate for the atmosphere vented out onto the moon's surface. Teams are mobilizing to begin clearing the detritus left by the asteroid as well as any wreckage it has inflicted. First responders are also on the scene to treat any injured Lunite citizens.

We are pleased to say that there are no casualties reported from the incident although several individuals have suffered minor injuries. The Lunite Governing Assembly as well as several corporate interests extend their thoughts and prayers to those injured and to any businesses that may have suffered during this disaster.
