BREAKING: In what appears to be a new, and rapidly escalating conflict on Mars, several colonies and settlements appear to have been destroyed. Tens of thousands have left the red planet and are looking for new homes in a Refugee status. Due to the proximity of Cocoon Station to the red planet, many of the refugees have made it here. This has caused Cocoon Corporation to activate Emergency Immigration Protocols, in an attempt to soften the blow to the economy and living space conditions, re-distributing most refugees to other, bigger, and more suitable, Stations and Floating Cities.

What is known up to this moment, is that a Coalition of Free Martians, composed of several Martian Native Tribes and Clans, have made an effort to free themselves from aggressive Cooperative Control, causing a Martian Uprising, probably the most significant conflict since the Martian Civil War of 2482.

While Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, ARES, couldn't be reached for comment, it is said the military megacorporation is focusing their efforts on a global scale pacification campaign, enacting a planet-wide comm ban, only allowing Military Frequencies to be used.

ARES has been a controversial entity during their stay on Mars, since their arrival to the red planet in 2447, and the controversial "Sterilization Campaign" conducted on the Martian Moons of Phobos and Deimos in 2455. The megacorporation has been deemed one of the main factors, and therefore, targets for the Martian Natives.

We will have more of this story as it develops…
