When you think of Chinatown, you think of a troubled sector of the station, with several buildings, local businesses, and, traditionally, skirmishes between different organizations claiming dominion over it, and sometimes, even Representatives of Corporate Law. It's a place of wonder, of mystery, and a certain touch of mysticism that has always characterized it. They say you can find anything and everything in Chinatown if you know where to look, and on which corner to turn. It's also the only sector in the station with artificial rain, whether this was just an aesthetic addition to enhance the mystique of the sector or it had another objective, it's now an answer that is forgotten. Hundreds of families live, work, and try to thrive in the, arguably, most populated sector in Cocoon.

Last night, it was reported that an incident took place, two children were playing on the puddles from the marketplace area, specifically near the fish stall, according to witness reports, an eel-like creature attacked one of the children, while a second creature with the same description was seen taking a rather large piece of fish. As the creatures disappeared in the middle of the commotion, the attacked child seemed to vomit a black substance profusely, not knowing what to do, bystanders called Genetectic, in hopes that they could offer better attention to the child than any Street Doctor would. Kuan-Yin, head of Human Resources to Genetectic answered the call, and upon a quick scan on the child, determined that the best course of action would be to take the infirm child to the main Genetectic facilities. Hailing a cab, she took the child with her.

Samir Mahzitov, the cab driver taking Kuan-Yin and the child to Genetectic, was reached for commentary by ONN.

"The kid looked very sick, he was losing consciousness every few minutes, he was getting real pale real fast" Mahzitov recalls "Kid vomited a couple of times in my cab too! I don't know if it was something he ate or what, but I don't think I'll ever get the smell off my cab, nor the stains, and I've washed the interiors four times already!" Mahzitov is a known local cab driver, who has been doing his job diligently for the past ten years and has gotten to know almost everyone in Sector Two. "It's a blessing to be alive and spend time with nice people like this, it's a nice neighborhood too, a bit rough, but it's home, I hope that kid gets better soon".

As of this time, Genetectic couldn't be reached for commentary, which only leads to speculation. This is not the first time that something like this is reported, although it's the first time someone needs to be rushed to a Medical Center. Whether quarantine is implemented or not, remains to be seen, as well as further security details surrounding Chinatown.
