The Show’s catchy intro is stepped up a bit for urgency, and there are a lot more logos that show on the load-in before there’s Alice, walking down a boardwalk on Luna, obviously, with her obligatory Gigabites drink in hand.

| “Good evening, and thank you for joining me for another update on Black Tenet and the upcoming update to stop it.
For a Brief recap, three weeks ago, people reported being infected with a Malware that disabled the advertising filters of their Interlink implants. The Malware called Black Tenet swept through colonies, stations and sky cities overwhelming networks, slowing communications, and eventually causing physical symptoms. Our latest is reports of cyberpsychotic episodes in people who are heavily augmented and infected. The Malware is difficult to prevent, and we don’t have a Cure yet. New Geneva Announced a week ago that a way had been discovered to reliably slow the spread and progression of Black Tenet. The Security Update being rolled out to individuals will prevent Black Tennet, but will not remove it if you’re infected already. The update will be required in order to access the next generation of updates to the Net which brings us to today. I’m going to tell you some of the great new technologies that are coming with the next generation of Net Upgrades, and we’ll look at some of the incentives and deals on new tech and services.” |
[COMMERCIAL BREAK]

| “Welcome back! So the easiest way to break this down is to give categories to our upgrades. Some of these are security upgrades. Better encryption, better identification, better safeguards against Malware, more aggressive anti-phishing. Those all help make sure that the only entities that can access your data are the ones you give permission to. Others are Communication enhancements that make it faster for ships to communicate with stations. If you’ve ever gotten stuck in Cocoon’s launchway, you’ll appreciate that. And some of it just station wide hardware updates. A lot of the Net’s infrastructure has been in active use for decades, and just maintained. We have much better technology and it’s time we got to enjoy that.
SolBank’s latest upgrades include that new Quad-layer compressed encryption, which despite being more complicated takes up less actual data space. So the Decryption process is 30 percent faster, giving you faster transactions. It can also move faster between devices, as it’s not as much data as longer decompressed encryption. How does this work out for you? You won’t even notice it most of the time when you pay for small common purchases, your investment portfolios will get data from the AIs faster to adjust and maximize your earnings, when even nanoseconds can count on the rise or fall of stocks. For all new Accounts opened, Solbank is offering a special edition Gigabites reusable cup good for 3% off any drink at Gigabites. Because let’s be fair. Who else are you banking with? The Genetectic Subsidiary GTT, the Trauma Team is also utilizing this technology to offer a priority program to Platinum and Gold subscribers called Gatekeeper. This Automated Wellness program ensures faster Pickup times from trauma events, Priority Triage during Mass Casualty events, Automatic Prescription services, and, partnered with SolBank on the encryption of their data, able to seamlessly bill your account, or set up automatic payments as needed. They’re offering this service to all Platinum grade accounts for 30 days free, and then you’ll be billed the 68 credits additional each month after that. Major League Blernsball even in on the action, Offering their FastPass VIP Fan package with priority streaming for games, priority access for ticket sales, discounts on team gear, A really cute Virtual Fan feature that lets you post your Net Avatar into a seat at the stadium on game day while you watch the game in virtual; and, if you like to make it even more fun, access to an AI that analyzes players and game statistics to give you more accurate betting predictions. When we get back from the commercial, we’re going to take a quick look at NSI, which is the firm putting in the man-hours to make these updates happen.” |

| “Glad you’re back! All of this upgrading and updating is a lot of work, and you’ve probably had NSI in your life, but never really noticed it. A lot of what Network Systems Incorporated does is, frankly, subnet architecture. But they’ve got the people with the skills and the logistics to do this as efficiently as possible.
They’ve got their own reputation with ARES and Armitech, two corporations for whom network reliability and security are literally matters of life and death. So their recommendation to deploy NSI on this update carried weight and things are moving forward on schedule. I would suggest keeping an eye out in coming weeks for job opportunities with NSI as well as other corporations who are joining the effort to combat Black Tenet. We have a long road ahead of us, but we will get there together. Be good to yourselves, and to each other. Thank you, and good night.” |
