The Camera opens on Alice in an office. She has her usual calm patient smile, and generally soothingly doctorly demeanor cranked up to 11. That being said, her data lenses are absent, and her optics are dark as she is not connected to the net through her relay as normal. When she talks, it's very deliberate. She's articulate and educated, a carefully polished image of being both powerfully corporately privileged, and still approachable.
| “Good evening. I know that there have been a lot of questions about the malware spreading through station and colony networks known as Black Tenet. While researchers, scientists, and engineers are still learning what we can about this new threat, I'm going to share with you what we do know, and what we can do.
The Malware Black Tenet appeared at GTT two days ago. The infected patient reported a constant unblockable stream of advertising that eventually disrupted normal system function and appeared to cross the Biomesh barrier to develop organic symptoms. In the past 48 hours, GTT, Corporate Health facilities, and Licensed Ripper Clinics have reported an increase in cases. Each new infected is capable of spreading the Malware through numerous cyberattack vectors. At this time, we do not have a cure. We do not have a counter ICE to stop it. But the problem is being worked on by the best minds in the Sol System. We need to buy them time. I'm asking you to take certain measures to protect yourself and your augments. Being clear, this is not just Malware that attacks Synthetic people, or Cyborgs. If you have an Interlink HUD hovering at the lower right of your vision? You are vulnerable. So these measures, I'm asking everyone to take. Do not use your Neural Relay to connect to anything unless you have a Class 3 Corporate ICE or better. Even if you do have a high end ICE, Don't follow random links with your Neural relay. Don't follow unprompted links from people you do know. They may be infected and trying to infect you. Avoid using your relay to complete NFC transfers, like for credits or data. Use Credsticks and Data shards. Honestly, if you can, use a deck when you connect to the net.
