ONN: Answers At Last, History In The Making

It's rare to be part of something bigger than yourself in this time and age, with corporations being part of every aspect of your life, there's little room for anything else. However, history is always on the horizon, and always prepared to surprise you when you least expect it.
A team of Archeologists, Researchers, Historians, and Data Decrypters led by Dr. Amadeus Holden departed New Geneva two weeks ago with the hopes of answering the biggest question of our time: What happened before, during, and after the Transcendence War? If you recall, the Transcendence War is an event that wiped out most of our history, and it has been nothing more than a footnote in our history, until now.
On a broadcast to a team of journalists in New Geneva, Dr. Holden made incredible statements.
"We have discovered the ruins of what was once an important city" started Dr. Holden "Radiation has, for the most part, already dissipated, we believe that one of the most important buildings in our past history is located here: The United Nations Building". While many of our readers may not fully grasp what the United Nations was, available information tells us that the United Nations was the prototype for what we know today to be New Geneva, representatives of every nation on Earth would convene in this building to discuss and decide the course of humanity and its history. "The implications of this discovery are incredible" continued Dr. Holden to an awestruck audience "Right now, a team of Archaeologists on location are hard at work trying to map a way into the building, once that is done, we'll be able to get into the building, and open doors that haven't been opened in centuries, we have reason to believe that data predating the Transcendence War to still be salvageable, and with our current technology, we'll be able to decrypt and adapt said data, and hopefully, understand more of our current history, and simply know what happened that caused the Transcendence War, the conditions on which life on Earth was mostly wiped out, and what happened to humanity after the war ended."
Dr. Holden, who was broadcasting from a medium sized Science Vessel in orbit to Earth, seemed excited. Communications are still difficult and spotty from our former home and any other place in the system, so Dr. Holden and his team organize several trips to the planet and come back, New Geneva sends them food, supplies, and equipment in general once a week, the mood in New Geneva has been described as festive for the most part, there is the underlying concern that the team may discover answers to questions we didn't want answered.
"The data, for the most part, will be too scrambled to be decrypted and treated on location" mentioned Dr. Holden "This is why this is a recovery mission first and foremost, the data will be moved to New Geneva for its full treatment, we have proposed a delegation of representatives of Mars, Luna, and important Space Stations and Colonies to be invited to New Geneva and witness the process and the results we provide, as to avoid any accusations of data tampering. Regardless of the answers we might find, this is an important and historic moment for all of us: To finally understand why we're here, and how things happened in the past, is motivation enough to go forward."
Dr. Amadeus Holden is a renown Archaeologist, Researcher, and Investigator working for the New Geneva Academy of History. Born on Mars, Dr. Holden was deemed unfit for military service which gave him the focus and resolve to excel in Academic Arts. Today, he's leading the aptly named Truth Team, deployed on Earth, and is already part of history by making these discoveries.
