With the mass incident over at Earth Site 0041Z leading to one of the biggest joint efforts between Armitech and ARES to contain it, there were rumors of the Luna Governor, Anton Bancroft, demanding the shutdown of the Luna borders and the full activation of the Luna Defense Satellite Grid, effectively shutting down Luna from the rest of the system, according to his staff, Anton Bancroft sought only the security and the preservation of the best specimens today's society has to offer. On an exclusive interview with ONN, the Luna Governor had this to say:

"At the time, a decision had to be made, and I am confident that it was made with the best outcome in mind. People forget that over 76% of the resources that keep the system alive, and humanity going, are controlled from here. The Lunites residing on this natural satellite live life in ways people from the outside could never understand, they are men and women of unique resolve, unique appetites, and unique ways of preserving themselves, if the time would come for me to make that decision again, I would make it without a shadow of a doubt."

Bancroft, age 54, has a personal worth of over 350 billion credits, and is the reigning CEO of Bancroft Heavy Industries, a construction corporation with over 260 years of history and tradition. He continues:

"Luna has one of the best orbital defense systems ever created, the complexity of our defenses allows us to mix both elegance and exotic design, with efficiency and uncanny accuracy, there has never been an intrusion in the history of this location, and there shall never be one."

After the situation regarding Earth Site 0041Z de-escalated, and confidence was restored with a Vulca Group-led Earth location, Earth Site X-17, Bancroft's staff discussed the re-opening of Luna's borders.

"It was never a matter of how, but when. Luna is a rare jewel for humanity, one that should not be denied to the eyes of those worthy enough and wealthy enough to truly appreciate it, we understand the risks of letting others enjoy our wealth and delicacy. We plan to share ourselves to the best the system has to offer on the Lunar Evening of March 10th, we have our best interests in hand, and we expect the best of the best that the system has to offer to walk on our white marble, gold, and silver streets, that's why we have offered a very lucrative contract to the illustrious Matsumoto Zabatsu Corporation, their new security measures are perfect for Luna, and our unique and very lavish way of life."

Although Matsumoto Zaibatsu hasn't disclosed specifics of the Luna contract, it rose several eyebrows that they appeared to have earned the contract instead of more security corporations like Armitech and ARES, when reached for commentary on this particularity, Harada Matsumoto, CEO of Matsumoto Zaibatsu had this to say:

"At Matsumoto Zaibatsu, we pride ourselves in being out of the box thinkers and changing the way the game is played, we have a fully automated, 100% tamper proof system to dispense security and assistance to the good people of Luna. Many people have doubted us, we don't have the manpower ARES does, we don't have the advanced energy weapons Armitech has, do you know what other thing Matsumoto Zaibatsu doesn't have? Catastrophic failures on the core programming of our synths and drones. Mr. Bancroft has seen an opportunity and opened the doors of Luna to us, we shall honor his trust, his confidence, and we will return his investment a hundred fold."

However, even if it looks like Matsumoto Zaibatsu got the best of both Armitech and ARES, Armitech's CEO, Adelheid Stromm, pleaded with New Geneva at the very real possibility of a security monopoly on a very desirable location, and while normally, anyone with enough credits to spend on Luna is welcome, it would appear that Governor Bancroft and his staff have taken exception to the population of Cocoon.

"Cocoon is a small station" the Lunite Governor starts "And they have always been at the epicenter of many situations to puts the Lunite Society on difficult positions, as a small station, we don't have any expectations for people who are not culturally challenged, with a few exceptions, such as our friends at the Morpheus Management Group, I'm aware of Armitech's plea to New Geneva, and New Geneva did contact us on their concerns of a possible monopoly, and since people from Cocoon Station are interested in visiting us, for good reason mind you, we're not to turn anyone away, after all, they may learn a thing or two about class from us, but we have to be extra careful, we offered Armitech a slice of the pie called Luna, a business venture that would allow for their security deployment to truly shine.”

As a result of this back and forth, New Geneva granted Armitech with Governor Bancroft's blessing, the faculty to conduct background checks to people from Cocoon Station interested in qualifying for a Lunite Citizenship, Albert Rohm, Armitech Speaker added this to the ongoing situation:

"Herr Stromm is very pleased to have seen corporate justice being dispensed, while we're sure than Matsumoto Zaibatsu is more than capable of managing local security, Armitech Private Defense has wider experiences with people from all locations and all walks of life, as such, everytime the men and women of Cocoon Station visit the Matsumoto Zaibatsu office to check for the requirements for Lunite Citizenship, they will be directed to their Armitech Private Defense headquarters, where they can fill a Citizenship Application that will be reviewed by one of our Agents, we're more than certain that the general public will be more than pleased to see how easy, and effective, applying for a Citizenship is now under Armitech's supervision."

In other words, people from any other place in the Sol System can just directly go to Luna and spend their credits there, but if you happen to reside on Cocoon Station, that automatically puts you on a watch list. ONN has verified the process for Lunite Citizenship and we will break it down for you:

*If you head over to the Matsumoto Zaibatsu Office, you will find the requirements there, and the location to APD offices in Cocoon Station. The process must be conducted in the APD headquarters.
  • In the APD headquarters, you will see Applications for Lunite Citizenship, you will have to fill it, and submit it, so that an APD Agent can verify it, interview you, and establish your identity and your background.
  • If your application is approved, you will be given a Lunite Citizenship so that you may travel to Luna, live and work there, and engage in the economy there.
  • Although there is a real possibility for rejection, you can always apply again at a later date.

What do you think? Do you think people from Cocoon Station being required to apply for a Citizenship is fair? What is your opinion on Governor Bancroft's actions? Do you think he had the best interests of the Lunite Society in mind? Do you have plans to visit Luna anytime soon? Please let us know what you think in the comment section below.
