ONN: APD Sold! Changes Coming to Cocoon Station

Today we were called to Neu Berlin for an urgent Press Conference held by the Armitech Defense PR Rep:

"AD PR Rep: Afternoon members of the press. Thank you for coming so promptly. Herr Adheleid Stromm has some news to share with all of you. Stromm: “As you are aware, for the past few days Armitech Defense and Cocoon Corp Representatives have been holding meetings about Cocoon Station and Armitech Private Defense. At this point I am able to confirm that changes are indeed coming. As of today at Noon, Berlin time, we have sold the Cocoon Corp Security Contract as well as our Security focused arm Armitech Private Defense. This was done swiftly and by an unexpected source. We wish them all the best in whatever they are planning to bring to Cocoon Station."

As Herr Stromm was about to leave the stage a member of ONN inquired about the situation with Miwa Hiraki, Stromm stopped in his tracks and turned back to answer the following with a smirk to his face.

“Miss Hiraki was let go of her position as Armitech Private Defense Direktor. While we thank her for her years of service with the company and the greater good she attempted to bring into Cocoon Station, ultimately she was not the right candidate for the job and clearly tanked the company into the ground. I was not going to allow a sale of APD with her at the lead. This new buyer comes from a place deeper into our Sol System. While I am not at liberty to discuss the details of the buy, I am at liberty to say, they have actively bought the entire company, contract, personnel and assets for a really good sum. As of this moment, Armitech Private Defense has no longer any ties to my company. Thank you for coming."

Stromm quickly left after that, the PR rep simply said that he was not made aware of who the new owner of APD is or what were their plans for Cocoon Station.

We reached out to a representative for Cocoon Corp that simply stated the following:

"There's not much we can say right now in regards to this new individual and the corporation that has bought out the contract and APD. The one thing we can say is that this individual has requested a complete rework of our contract, and based on the amount proposed to us by said purchase, we decided to hear them out. No more station security. Instead something new is to come and Corporations will now be handling their own affairs with their own security teams or through hired guns. The new corporation that is to join us in Cocoon station will be taking over the APD assets and remodeling the building in the upcoming days. When they deem the time is right, they will reveal themselves to the public and more answers will come our way. Thank you for your time and understanding. Cocoon Corporation thanks you for your cooperation."

So you heard it, Miwa Hiraki is no more, APD is dead and Cocoon Station will now be in the hands of the corporations that inhabit it, bringing in a new player into the mix. What do you think this is all about? Who is this mysterious buyer? Why are they choosing to remain in the shadows? So many questions and so little answers.

For now all we can say is, there is for sure a huge change coming to Cocoon Station, and whoever this new corporation incoming is, what will they do? What are they thinking in buying out APD?
