ONN: Delta Station and Papillion Station Destroyed

You may recall a past report from ONN Pointing out at the destruction of Gaius Space Station, owned and directed by Romulus Corporation and directed near the Asteroid Belt, due the now confirmed suspicions of Romulus Corporation sending aid to the Martian Native Tribe Clans. At the time it created quite the controversy for how unexpected and perhaps, even inhumane. Especially when taking in account the conditions under which not everyone aboard the station managed to make it out of there in time.
ONN just got confirmation. Six hours ago, Delta Laboratories Incorporated owned Delta Station, and Mirage Cyber Works owned Papillon Station, were both destroyed by Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, ARES. Their Boards of Directors were placed under detention and summarily executed, as both Delta Laboratories Incorporated (D.L.I) and Mirage Cyber Works (M.C.W) have been proven to be further contributors to the War Effort on Mars.
Cassandra Areia, Ambassador of Advanced Research and Experimental Systems on New Geneva has offered more details on her statement.
| “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the destruction of Delta Station and Papillon Station.
These iconic locations have been serving the Corporate Lifestyle and abiding Corporate Law for almost forty years, they were at a time considered to be hubs for travelers that had plans for long trips to the Outer Planets, or to stop at the Belt as well. While not as classic and stylish as the now defunct Gaius Station, they housed an impressively combined 300,000 residents, plus floating population. Each and every one of these over three hundred thousand people had dreams and objectives that were ultimately destroyed by the same corporations that swore to watch over them. Delta Laboratories Incorporated and Mirage Cyber Works had been under investigation since before the Gaius Station Incident, and records were found proving that they were providing support and aid to the so called Martian Native Tribe Clans, fighting to eliminate the Corporate Lifestyle on Mars. With New Geneva's authorization, we proceeded to see each CEO at their Stations and confronted them with the evidence which they did not deny. Both CEO's offered Advanced Research and Experimental System to come in quietly alongside with their Boards of Directors under the condition that each space station was given more time to evacuate than what Gaius Station was given. Advanced Research and Experimental Systems complied with those requests, granting both Space Stations twenty four hours to evacuate before the detonations. We reaffirm our convictions and beliefs in the Corporate Lifestyle as well as Corporate Law as provided by New Geneva, and we will continue with our work of singling out any and all collaborators on these attacks against Mars and New Geneva. And for those further collaborators listening in, watching even, think about the hundreds, thousands, millions of lives that depend on you and your actions, how can they, and will they be impacted by your actions. If you come forth and turn yourselves and your Boards of Directors in, you will be saving all of these lives. Make no mistake, we will find out every single one of you, and we will not stop until order is restored. Thank you.” |
As of this moment, there are tens, maybe even hundreds of shuttles on their way to safe ports, some of the smaller space stations have already announced they are closing their doors to newcomers as some have reported food, water, and oxygen shortages due the increased volume in population.
Cocoon Station hasn't announced a lockdown for refugees, especially after the announcement of the RISE program started by the Morpheus Group Management which has gotten a spotlight on the station. With the increase in volume and fear rising across the Inner Planets, more and more are looking at Earth as a viable and desperate possibility for a new life. However, with recent reports of a tragic shuttle crash carrying 2,700 people with zero survivors, as well as general ignorance about the dangers of Earth, Earth Sites such as Vulca Group owned X-17 are facing the very real possibility of being overwhelmed and being overrun as issues such as food shortage, medical crises, possible riots, radiation poisoning, and intolerance to the natural flora and fauna may become causes of death for the hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people looking to establish themselves there.
With these actions, ARES continues on their crusade against any Mars Native Tribe Clans collaborators, as the crises continue to rise and only a limited number of corporate entities being able, and willing, to distribute food among the refugees.
