Act for the Dignity of Alternate Lifeforms

In May of 2494, the Summit for Mutants, Replicants and Synths ratified a new act designed to elevate its subjects from the status of second-class citizens, giving them full rights under corporate law and legal personhood.

The Act for the Dignity of Alternate Lifeforms covers Alpha-class Synths, Replicants, Natural Mutants, and Designer Mutants.

Contents of the Act

In general, upon creation, the Alternate Lifeforms will work for five (5) years in their intended field, after which, they will be free to apply for their freedom, or they can remain working in their current position. This decision may not be influenced by third parties under any circumstances. The Alternate Lifeform is free to pursue any and all kinds of counseling and guidance in the benefit of their interests. Alternate Lifeforms who haven't been created prior this date, are retroactively eligible for this benefit. Alternate Lifeforms that have been alive or existing for five years or more may apply for their freedom at their earliest convenience.

This measure does not apply to Natural Mutants. Natural Mutants are born and not made, therefore, they are granted the benefit of First Class Citizens from the moment they are born. Therefore, this Act ensures that no Natural Mutant may be discriminated against, or suffer any or all advantages in their professional and social lives.

On the matter of Synths:

Only Alpha-class Synths may benefit from the Act, as only Alpha-class Synths are recognized as sentient synths. In the case that a Beta-class Synth reaches sentience, they will be guided and informed of what the Act entails, as well as their privileges, benefits, and responsibilities. Gamma-class are, by definition, unable to reach sentience.

On the matter of Replicants And Designer Mutants:

Replicants and Designer Mutants are considered creations with an intended field and purpose. Replicants and Designer Mutants are considered sentient from the moment they exist, and therefore, their five-year contract starts from the very first day they start laboring in their intended field.

Replicants and Designer Mutants will have the same lifespan as a standard human being, it will be the responsibility of all Medical and Genetic Corporations to ensure all Replicants and Designer Mutants follow this process to ensure a smooth transition once the five-year contract is up. Corporations not following this instruction will be heavily penalized and fined.

On the matter of Natural Mutants:

As mentioned before, Natural Mutants are not obligated to go through the five-year contract on account of them being born and not created, however, they also fully benefit from this Act in their pursuit of happiness and personal fulfillment. Natural Mutants looking to integrate into modern society will be supported and installed with all the pertinent augmentations and software, as well as monitored to ensure they don't suffer negative experiences during their integration, Natural Mutants will enjoy the benefits all Alternate Lifeforms will enjoy.

It is important to note that Actions and Consequences will play out as it does with Humans and Cyborgs, on the matter of criminal and/or unlawful activities, any and all Alternate Lifeforms will be subjected to the process Corporate Justice determines to be adequate.
