It is the year 2494. An event referred to as the Transcendence War left the world in nuclear fallout, leaving humanity to take to floating cities and orbital colonies.
'''It is the year 2495.''' The sky’s poisoned, the ground’s worse, and the only thing left of Old Earth is the ash it choked on during the Transcendence War. What came after wasn’t peace- it was retreat. Floating cities drift above the irradiated bones of lost nations, while the lucky orbit in cold corporate heavens.

Long gone are the conventional laws as Mega-Corporations rule supreme as de-facto government bodies. Freedom is redefined by what these corporations deem appropriate and always follow their interests first, leaving what's left of society to outlaws and their territories.
