Venus

In the mid-2220s, the population of Luna was reaching its limits, and returning to Earth was still highly restricted. The technology to maintain space stations needed further development, and repeated cases of sabotage on skycities kept them limited in size and population. Survivors from Earth didn’t fully know about the Home One mission to colonize Mars, so they turned to a new alternative: Venus.
After generations, and trillions of Sol Credits sunk into a project to create habitats on Venus had failed, a new hope was brought into the project in the form of an unlikely alliance: In the year 2443, The Technos Roman Consortium, and a young Advanced Research and Experimental Systems worked together to bring the dream of Venus into reality. With the Technos Roman Consortium materials, Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, and its technology, research, and development, the first proposal for a viable habitat that would withstand Venus’ hostile atmosphere and unrelenting temperatures. The end result was a modified version of a skycity, hovering between 50 and 60 kilometers above the clouds, the habitat continues to function to this day and is known as Prometheus.
Prometheus is also the de-facto capital of corporate interests in Venus, and is where the main offices of the Technos Roman Consortium are, and where Advanced Research and Experimental Systems have set a branch office. It’s also where the first fuel refineries and mining facilities have been installed.
Today, Venus is the main exporter of heavy metals and fuel to the entire Sol System, with the Technos Roman Consortium officially in charge of the planet, with Advanced Research and Experimental Systems offering orbital security, and Matsumoto-Zaibatsu offering security in the habitats.
It’s important to note that there’s not a Venusian Citizen, however, there are authorized Residence Permits issued by both the Technos Roman Consortium and Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, and cleared by New Geneva.
Groups And Organizations
Venus is a highly industrialized world, with just a handful of habitats in the Venusian skies and several mining facilities at ground level. A small number of corporations operate in Venus.
The Technos Roman Consortium
A relatively unknown name as they have limited their focus solely on Venus for the past fifty years, this corporation deals exclusively in fuel manufacturing and mining. They struck gold when Advanced Research and Experimental Systems teamed up with them to design Prometheus and paid off. They hold the sole contract and rights to all the mines and refineries on Venus.
Advanced Research and Experimental Systems
A corporation devoted to warfare, cybernetics, artificial intelligence, and nanotechnology. A very significant percentage of their net worth comes from their operations on Venus, not to mention that an agreement with the Technos Roman Consortium guarantees them access to raw materials and fuel for their fleets and vehicles. ARES is responsible for the creation of the Leviathan I, and II suits. Leviathan I is a pressurized suit for interiors. And the Leviathan II is a bulky armor set boosted by an exoskeleton, designed specifically for heavy-duty mining operations on the planet.
GenomeX
A biotech corporation focused on eugenics, genetic manipulation, and the creation of modified Replicants as well as clones. This corporation provides Venus with its hard labor, as Replicants have a life expectancy of less than a year due to the brutal conditions of the mines and the 16-hour shifts they have to undertake.
Progenetics

A biotech corporation, similar to GenomeX with a different approach to genetics. Progenetics focuses on the creation and design of exotic Replicants, Mutants, and Clones. Mostly for entertainment purposes. While GenomeX focuses on strong and resilient Replicants and Clones, Progenetics takes a more aesthetically and physically pleasant approach with their creations.
Matsumoto Zaibatsu
A security megacorporation that rose to prominence when they were awarded the sole security contract to Luna Colony, they were also awarded the on-site security contract on Venus per the ARES Board of Directors recommendation. The Matsumoto operatives are highly trained, extremely efficient, and ruthless in their approach, while at the same time also being trained in pleasant conversation and interactions.
Ambrosia Hospitality Group
A corporation dedicated to the hospitality industry, from eight-star hotels all the way to elite restaurants and cafeterias. The Ambrosia Hospitality Group gets 85% of its working force from Progenetics, and it solely operates in the Aphrodite Habitat on Venus.

The Venusian Hierarchy can be divided into four sections:
The Corporations
Usually humans, cyborgs, and synths aligned to one of the corporations authorized to work and reside in Venus. They are awarded the best living accommodations, unlimited water and air rationing, and potential access to the Aphrodite Habitat. They are the premium clients of both Matsumoto and ARES.
The Tourists

The smallest group, usually wealthy corpos and celebrities who have heard of the Aphrodite Habitat and wish to see what the buzz is all about. They are all exclusively found in that location.

The entrance is forbidden to Replicants, Synths, and Mutants unless they present evidence of ownership.
Legends of Venus

Although Venus hasn’t taken a prominent role in the history of the Sol System, looking inward, there are legends that made it possible to acquire the planet as a corporate asset:
Apollyon Josephus Romanos
The CEO of the Technos Roman Consortium, and patriarch to the Romanos Family, an old man kept alive by advanced biotech, while he looks middle-aged, he has lived much longer than that, He’s a shrew corporate mind, a ruthless negotiator, and a visionary. He was approached by Adam Caine to work together on the Prometheus Habitat, a chance encounter that made his fortune and put his name and that of his corporation and family in the annals of history.
Adam Caine
Founder and former CEO of Advanced Research and Experimental Systems, a Legendary Mercenary responsible for the training of several corposoldiers, mercenaries, and soldiers of fortune in the Sol System, as well as the man behind ARES’ dive into Artificial Intelligence as well as Warfare. He approached the Technos Roman Consortium with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. While Adam Caine is no longer around, he is still remembered as a visionary who got everything he could ever want.
Kei Matsumoto
CEO to Matsumoto Zaibatsu. A sharp man with a sharper mind. Kei specializes in subvert warfare and espionage, his massive network has allowed him to stay ahead in the espionage game. He was awarded the on-site security contract in Venus, as per the recommendation of the ARES Board of Directors. Kei, not being one to look a gift horse in the mouth, accepted the contract and set up a branch office in Venus.
Dr. Adolphus White
CEO and Director of GenomeX, Dr. White is not a social man, in fact, he’s rarely seen at all. Such an aura of mystery and absenteeism doesn’t deter the work of GenomeX. It is said that Dr. White spent most of his life pursuing Eugenics to create the perfect Replicant, some say he’s still not satisfied with what he’s achieved.
Dr. Bridget Keely
CEO of Progenetics, a brilliant researcher and executive. Dr. Keely was rumored to have been Dr. White’s protegé at one point but took a vastly different approach to creating Replicants and Clones. She literally took the “Sex Sells” saying as a marketing tool for Progenetics’ Replicant line, creating beautiful and oftentimes, breathtaking Replicants. This caused an avalanche of new custom orders for Progenetics. Dr. Keely is also a shareholder of the Ambrosia Hospitality Group.
Shiori Kato
CEO of the Ambrosia Hospitality Group, is a beautiful woman who underwent a total-body conversion after a horrific accident in New Edo. With a shiny chromatic body, she is focused on offering the best pleasurable experiences to anyone discerning enough to earn entry into the Aphrodite Habitat. Shiori is the woman to get everything and anything, sometimes going as far as relying on less-than-honorable means to acquire it. To her, her customers deserve everything their wallets can pay for.
