Your comms beep with an alert. When accessed hard-core, raw, street edge music plays while a series of color-hued video imagery flash rapidly across your viewer. Each scene depicts some action or the aftermath of action in various locales throughout the system: Earth, the floating cities, orbital colonies, Luna, Mars, the Belt; they are all presented within a short thirty-second block. Each hue adds to the feeling of the imagery, blues, yellows, reds; combined with the music it is quite stimulating. The final scene of the video fades away at the end of the thirty-seconds revealing a single still portrait with the animated title superimposed over the top. A mechanized voice, highly augmented through editing software, urgently whispers, Keeping It Real with Sable Gentry.

|"I'm back in your face with Truth serum and wide open eyes," Sable's contralto rolls over your comm like smooth jazz. "You've probably seen the big media reports mystifying the event while subtly vilifying the action. What they want you to believe—no! What they need you to believe, is that free money showing up in your SolBank account is a perversion of the system, a criminal atrocity that will have a negative impact on your stability. 'The economic machine will destabilize,' they cry all the while standing between you and the boujee debutants living their luxurious lives on Luna and the rest of the untouchables throughout the rest of the System.

I scoff at this ridiculousness and so should you. While refugees from the recent turmoil between ARES. and Mars still strain infrastructures, corporations continue to pay extravagant bonuses and opulent disbursements to their executives and boards. Make no mistake, choombattas! There are credits to spare. Destabilizing the economy through the devaluation of credits is purely propaganda. Any freshman economist in New Geneva can tell you that SolBank and the men behind the curtain control the value of the credit.

I did you a solid, gato. I spoke with a financial advisor who wishes to remain anonymous, and I'll share with you what advice I received. This windfall isn't a predictable source of income so take advantage of it while you can. Investments? Sure, why not? But realize you're feeding the machine when you plop that package down in front of your portfolio manager and say. ‘Put it all on black.' That's what they want from you. This isn't free money until you free it, capisce? Take it out of the system and give it wings. You want to see this gravy spread? Put it back in your block. At least the trickle up effect will have some benefit on your hood. At least the fat cats dining on real meat and cheese while sipping their fragrant red looking down on the rest of us will receive less of a cut once the credits flow back into their accounts.

Naw, gato. Don't sit on these credits. It doesn't matter whether the rumors are true and some benign hackers have set up a mine or the more likely scenario of some megacorp manipulation is at play; don't be a Scrooge. Head on down to your local bodega and get that case of imported ale you've always wanted to try, go on over to your local mechanic and tune up that Hellcat, or hell, hit up your dealer for some real good highs. You deserve it and those collars sitting in their ivory towers aren't about to give it to you without taking their pound of flesh."
